Itinerary

Meet and greet with our guide at airport of Tarakan then directly transfer to Hotel for check in and shorth rest. Afterwards we will visit the mangrove forest to explore proboscis monkeys and birds as well as the species of mangroves. Dinner at local restaurant. Return back to Hotel for overnight.

Breakfast at hotel then transfer to the port for cruising up by speed boat on Sesayap river  to get Malinau. Here you have chance to see the fresh water dolphins, proboscis monkeys, and birds emerge occasionally along the delta of  the river. On arrival, proceed to Setulang village by vehicle. On arrival  

overnight on local house. Afterwards, we will explore the unique culture of Dayak Kenyah such as longhouse, cemetery, granaries, etc. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at local host.

After breakfast at local house, we will cruise upward Setulang River for about 1 hour (depends on current). Next, we will be trekking to the big cifor tree crossing through tropical rainforest while spotting wild animals, such as: monkeys, horn bills, blue streak kingfishers, etc. Afterwards, we will trek downhill to the riverside for overnight on camp. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight at bivouac/tent. 

Simple breakfast at shelter. Afterwards we will be continue trekking deeper in the pristine jungle for exploring wild flora and fauna of the national park. In the afternoon, we will set up the  campsite at river bank for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the campsite and then trekking to the other side of pristine jungle for exploring wild flora and fauna of the national park. In the afternoon, we will trek back to Tana Olen through different trails. We will then setting our campsite at riverside for staying overnight at bivouac/tent.  

After breakfast, we will trek back to our boat and then crossing down the Setulang river into the village to catch our car to drive to the port of public speed boat for crossing downward the river to reach Tarakan. Arrive in Tarakan and directly transfer to hotel for overnight. 

Breakfast at hotel and free at your own leisure till the proper time for transferring  to airport for your flight to the next destination. (B)
